Sometimes the challenge is finding the amount of time your dog needs to succeed in your endeavor to have a well-mannered companion. This blended program allows you to be hands on with weekly private lessons while your dog gets the support of consistent daily practice with an experienced trainer.

The ability to take your companion places stress-free is so valuable to their quality of life and yours, so we include field trips in our programs to practice our skills out and about. If you have specific locations you want to be able take them, we’ll most certainly build them into the plan.

Rowdee is having fun working on his retrieve and long distance recalls. A rock solid recall is so important for safety and it makes going on adventures much more fun!

Out and about lessons can include:

    • Leash walking on your favorite routes
    • Speedy recalls at the beach or on a hike
    • Puppy socialization play dates
    • Calmly hanging out at a kid’s soccer game
  • Stress free vet visits.

Is this program right for your dog?

Puppies have what are called critical socialization periods. Between 8 and 14 weeks old their minds are little sponges soaking up the world! They need to be exposed to new stimuli on a DAILY basis and introduced to environments we want them to normalize. Otherwise they may struggle with reactivity and inattention when they grow up. Socialization is so important the AVSAB released a statement advocating for puppies as young as 8 weeks old to safely explore the world.

Adolescents and Adults Do you become invisible to your dog as soon as you step outside? When impulse control is in short supply regular practice not only strengthens skills faster, it also cuts down the frustration from both ends of the leash. We can also help bring out confidence in our more wary and shy companions.

Reactive Dogs You just want to go for a nice walk when you come home but it’s stressful when they bark and lunge at everything! We will work with your dog to pin point what causes their reactions and help them overcome their triggers. Being able to take your dog places stress-free again will increase their quality of life (and yours!).
